As a rule Doris Brazil Ladies Wear avoids tee shirts with slogans. Frankie may have said “Relax” but, in Appleton Marsh, I never dropped the fashion ball. Recently I’ve noticed tee shirts have been carrying ever more provocative phrases. Take fashion house French Connection. Why, as happened just yesterday, when I stepped out of the pharmacy, should I be confronted by a young woman wearing a tee shirts bearing the slogan FCUK? It’s offensive. What would happen if I introduced the Doris Brazil CTUN range? The Western Morning News would have something to say about that. What about a Doris Brazil SUCKCOCKER collection; is that acceptable? Of course it isn’t, and neither is FCUK.

Fashion industry, you have been told.
