By setting a date ahead of rival schemes from Prada, Vuitton, Dior et al, I’m hoping to tempt that rarest of creatures to Appleton Marsh, a top fashion student who is also risk-averse. It’s one of those bird-in-the-hand things. Why would anyone in their right mind hold out for the likes of Armani and Fendi and most likely experience disappointment when they could be working alongside Flo and me, watching and learning, almost before the month is out?
